"My favorite lesson is teacher Shelley's.

Shelley's lessons start with "what's new?" I started to think about what I would say in the next lesson, did some research on my own beforehand, thought of a simple conversation, and naturally took some time to think about the language even in my busy life. The lessons I took were mainly for everyday conversation, such as "at the airport," "asking for directions," "at the hotel," etc. Even though I am a beginner, I think I can use it on my next trip. I'll try to use it! The lessons are very friendly and easy to understand."

私は２つあるうちのShelley先生のクラスでした。短い期間で、生活と学校双方で役立つ実践的な中国語をピンポイントで教えてくださったと感じます。対先生、受講者同士の会話練習がメインで、話すことや聞き取りが向上しました。またゲームなどの多くのアクティビティが盛り込まれており、楽しんで学習をすることができ、自分の活動にも取り入れたいと感じる内容でした。

先生の熱心な指導のお蔭で、約1か月という短い期間の中でも、発音や初級単語・文法を可能な限り多く習得することができた。当時の中国語の水準は現在より更に低いものであったが、それでも過度な苦手意識を持つことなく、ある程度準備した状態で渡航することができた。
